On leaving school, I started work with a local professional photographer. After gaining considerable experience in most aspects of photography, I started my own business in 1980 and have photographed approximately 1000 weddings.
In 1996, I became a qualified member of the New Zealand Institute of Professional Photography (NZIPP) in weddings and portraiture. As of 2010, I am moving into retirement mode and have resigned from the Institute, but still of course retain my experience gained from my years of membership. I still play an active part within the NZIPP.
I have enjoyed my professional work and my outgoing personality has allowed me to relate well with people, immediately putting them at ease. Having always been aware of changing trends, I found the movement towards digital technology an exciting progression in the field of photography and am constantly updating my skills to improve my techniques.
My new direction will still allow me to take photographs by special appointment and I will be pleased to discuss with you any photographic work you may require.
